Nine planets
Each planet rides its own geared ring, from Mercury at 28 mm from the Sun to Pluto at 295 mm.
An engraved sky
357 stars in 55 constellations, with the ecliptic, the celestial equator and the horizon line.
A calendar ring
A 360° scale with the zodiac and the months runs around the edge, so each planet's place reads as a date.
